The area
Here TÜV Rheinland is in its element. The testing of industrial plants, pressure equipment and elevators, but also testing services in mechanical and electrical engineering as well as environmental and pollutant analysis are among the company's core tasks. In Germany alone, more than 100,000 customers from a wide variety of sectors such as construction, real estate, energy and chemicals rely on the expertise of TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service. Today, the focus is on the digitization and functional security of industrial plants and critical infrastructures such as power grids and IT systems.
The people
The tasks of an expert for elevators, materials handling and machine technology include the inspection, testing and certification of elevators, conveyor belts, escalators, cranes and flying structures. This can take place in the function as an approved inspection body for the legally prescribed tests or as an independent expert for CE conformity assessment according to current European directives. As an expert, you will also certify models and quality management systems and follow trendsetting developments in elevator technology, for example in sensor technology.
Business Unit Manager, Industrial Service, Elevators, conveyor and machine technology, Mönchengladbach
Many people think that everything at TÜV Rheinland is about technology. I have made the experience that the focus is really on people here. And that's very important to me as an engineer. We work with people and for them and are able to organise our daily work independently. As business unit manager, I also have the opportunity to prepare young engineers for the ambitious task of becoming experts. At the same time give them insights into the exciting business world of our customers.
